This place is terrible. I could go to Panera Bread or McDonald’s to have a similar meal. We ordered two appetizers and they were served cold. No one finished their entrees. One of my top five worst restaurant meals. There are so many other places on the strip to eat.

Never trust Acropolis for a large Party!!!
We made way in advance a reservation for 15 and was seated at a table for 12. Very tight not comfortable at all. Our waitress could not even get to the back of our table, because where they had seated us in the corner, in the back, was crowded by another party. Miserable!!! Our poor waitress was the only server for multiple tables! Our food came out in stages and the first to receive their food were already done by the time the last received their food, also no one received their meal complete, everyone was missing something, mainly the fries. So our waitress had to make multiple trips to the kitchen (she had NO HELP!!) Took forever to get the food and then the bill. The manager never helped our waitress or asked how we were, until my sister asked to speak to him. Just an overall bad experience!
My sister wrote to Joseph France the General Manager to express her disappointment on our special occasion, it has now been two weeks and not a response to her email. She was so embarrassed that she suggested for us to come to Acropolis. We had a graduation celebration the week before at the Colombia in Ybor, TOP NOTCH! Service and food a delightful experience!! If you need a special occasion restaurant than I suggest the Columbia, can accommodate big or small parties with professionalism, never an empty glass at Columbia.

Well they use to be good and now they suck!
Management is going corporate which mean smaller portion size and cheaper quality food!!
When asking manager about a portion of a salad I told her if they are going in the direction of “cheap” we won’t come anymore, her response “well we have accommodated you with another portion so thank you”.
They gave me what use to be the normal size and since they are now “corporate” then they cut corners.
Totally rude!
So we won’t go any more plan and simple!.

I keep giving this place chance because the food is good. Service is terrible. We’ve been about 10 times. Twice we had good service & those servers no longer work there. Twice we left after waiting 10 minutes for anyone to pay attention to us & one of those times was at the greeter stand. So 6 out of 8 times our service was terrible in a 2 year span. The food however was good all 8 times. I wish I knew the secret to getting good service there, I’m a 20%+ tipper but it doesn’t help.

No service. I went in today, sat at the bar, waited, and waited… No bartender to be found. I asked the hostess if there was a bartender and she replied that the bartender was in the back. I eventually left without ordering anything… Tip to Acropolis, your sales will increase if you actually have someone working behind the bar to wait on customers.

Will NEVER return… used to like it!. Had moved, was excited to go again since I’ve moved back to Tampa. Menu changed drastically, many great items, features gone. More “other Mediterranean” foods, than Greek. Waitress new, continued to mispronounce food items even though we were saying them correctly. She had to ask/reconfirm our order THREE times, then when it was being split in TWO checks (5 people total), she screwed it up TWICE and argued with us. We were ‘Nickeled & Dimed’ to death for extra items, SERIOUSLY, you sell a 4 Dip/Spread App Platter and provide 8 tiny wedges of Pita bread, and charge $2 for about 8 more… then another $1 for additional Salad dressing (1 oz plastic souffle cup)… No bread (as served prior) with an amazing feta/cheesy garlic spread, Owner seems to have gotten REALLY cheap while prices continue to get HIGHER! $120 for 5 people, and NOT much food in total. Quality of food was just “ok”… music was SO loud we had to almost SCREAM to each other to talk, and waitress had to scream to take our order, SHE even said it was TOO loud, but that the owner would NOT turn it down, even if asked.

OWNER… we (nor anyone we can persuade) will ever return to your establishment… keep up disappointing guest after guest and watch your multi-chain restaurants start to close. If KARMA exists, it WILL happen unless you change!

PS… your sinks and toilets in the restrooms backed up, and when we told waitress, she said it happens often… that explains the mess we saw in the kitchen doors and on the floor when the staff went in and out… wondered what the large “dryers” were for.
