“Walked in, hostess look at us then walked to the back…came and walked behind us and started talking to some dude behind us, then said didn’t you hear me I said sit anywhere…(said it very rude like) anyways went and sat down & waited for more than 10 mins after multiple servers walked past us and nobody said a word, needless to say I will not be back….”

“The waitress, Charity, was not very reliable. Especially compared to the girls around us actually doing their jobs. She actually made herself quite scarce during our visit. One of the worst visits we’ve ever had. She came to our table ONCE in the final 1 1/2 hours or so. That was when we asked for our checks. She spent a good thirty plus minutes sitting at an empty table near the kitchen doing absolutely nothing before being joined by two co workers for another ten minutes. We saw other servers at our table as many times as we saw our own waitress. If we do return, we now know who not to have wait our table. The food was lacking and very skimpy compared to the usual. Has been the past few times. And something nearly always comes out wrong now. It’s just not worth the money and time we spend there anymore.”

Nearly nine years after the founding of Facebook, the social media network has become galaxy all its own. It is both expanding and ever-present. At the very minimum, restaurants have some customers who are users, and they are spending a lot of time using it.

Like other social media, Facebook exists somewhat outside the reach of search engines and traditional webpages. This causes confusion for restaurant owners who think a website is enough. A good portion of online activities (and marketing opportunities) happens in Facebook and your website without a Facebook Page cannot give you access to people on Facebook.

Facebook is where a restaurant owner must start for social media marketing. Facebook’s preeminence is not being challenged at this point as all other social media combine doesn’t match the traffic and membership of Facebook. Even more importantly, Facebook eats up people’s time.

And much like the web proper, business is done in social media. No doubt, there are advertisements but even more importantly, there is marketing. Businesses carve out an identity and following of customers through Social Media. As mentioned before, none is more central as Facebook. And even though, unless you were under a rock for the last few years, you know some things about Facebook. Most though are at a loss in crafting Facebook to expand their business.

“I first want to say that this isn’t our first visit to the Hooters and our friends own several if theses business in other states so I get the business model.
However, this store has some of the worst waitress around. Their service levels are terrible.
The only thing going for them is their manager. He is willing to listen and help when needed.
If your looking for good service and a waitress who is actually there to work, don’t go here.”

“Never understood why people like hooters. The food is bland and tasteless as well as the 80’s costumes worn by the staff. Its 2012 people, time to update your outfits. Food? Ugh, rather go to McDs.”
