Nearly nine years after the founding of Facebook, the social media network has become galaxy all its own. It is both expanding and ever-present. At the very minimum, restaurants have some customers who are users, and they are spending a lot of time using it.

Like other social media, Facebook exists somewhat outside the reach of search engines and traditional webpages. This causes confusion for restaurant owners who think a website is enough. A good portion of online activities (and marketing opportunities) happens in Facebook and your website without a Facebook Page cannot give you access to people on Facebook.

Facebook is where a restaurant owner must start for social media marketing. Facebook’s preeminence is not being challenged at this point as all other social media combine doesn’t match the traffic and membership of Facebook. Even more importantly, Facebook eats up people’s time.

And much like the web proper, business is done in social media. No doubt, there are advertisements but even more importantly, there is marketing. Businesses carve out an identity and following of customers through Social Media. As mentioned before, none is more central as Facebook. And even though, unless you were under a rock for the last few years, you know some things about Facebook. Most though are at a loss in crafting Facebook to expand their business.

If I could rate them “0” I would. It took me between 9am to 5pm to schedule the tech to come out. After speaking with 3 different people the tech called me only to say he was at the property earlier but that he had left because another person canceled my appointment. This someone was internal and didn’t know what she was doing.

Finally, the tech came. Nice guy but had no executive command over the situation. He did what his seniors told him to do. He called me after finding out what seemed to be the problem. He fixed what he saw and the problem was fixed…or so we thought.

The next day I get a call from my tenant who said the power is still faulty. I called Midway again and asked if they could come back and address the problem they supposedly fixed and which I paid $300 for. They said they wouldn’t come out. I was shocked.

I thought the person who told me “no” to coming back out was mistaken so I checked with the tech. He said the same thing. Furthermore, he said I’d have to pay again for them to come out again.

I was furious and went with another company who solved the problem, charged me half of what Midway charged and who has 12-month warranty.

Midway struck me as an upstanding company with their marketing but their service is nowhere near the image they portray. It’s a sad truth.

Beware! I called Midway because my AC was acting up, possibly due to an electrical issue. They came out, ran a couple of tests, said all was well, and left. The next day, my brand new AC died. Read more

Another company came out and determined I had some faulty wiring, to the point of a fire hazard. Number 1: why didn’t Midway catch a fire hazard?? Number 2: if they had caught the issue, my 5 month old AC wouldn’t have fried. Very negligent and I’m infuriated that they essentially stole the service call fee, put my family in danger, and cost me a new AC compressor.

Shoddy work. WAAAYYY over priced and unprofessional. It cost me more to fix the damage done to my cabinets when their worker didn’t connect a hose properly. Hello?? you’re plumbers, hose connection should be Plumbing 101!!!

I will NEVER use the place again. The absolute rudest people work here. Not worth my time, NOT getting my money.
